I was only involved in one trade, my 65 Falcon for a 85 or so Malibu that was black on black and perfect with fat Corvette wheels. we were all ready to go until the guys wife saw the 3 speed in the Falcon.:(

I'd trade my 61 Dodge for something. maybe an AD Chevy truck, 49-52 Chevrolet car. or become practical and trade for a Chevy or GMC "late model" driver as my driver now is closing in on 200,000 miles.

IF IF; **Well ,I still have my Bob tailed 28 high school hot rod ,I put together in 1959=likely will never sell it,but could be tempted to trade for ,a two fore one; some** stock Studebaker's;53 up to 55 V8 low hard top* an a 63/64 Avanti*
So as they say, there is a price for everything, but it's not for sale! 4thjulyMiamiSprings2018.jpg

  13. I never noticed the dual pattern Ansens on that old Ford before. Sweet as sugar pie. I just happen to have a pair of duel pattern Ansens in the garage. :D

Sold a real nice NON-HAMB black 32 glass car on a Friday and bought my friends clean 32 Coupe on the next Monday . My dream has come but took 55 years to happen.

    A 56 Nomad. My personal 50’s favorite.
    The impossible would be a 1965 Chevelle Malibu(nonSS) L-79.

Too bad you want a 66. I have a 65, and the 63 Dodge perks my interests a little. My problem is I really like the 65 goat and just wanna finish it.

  24. I love this thread!

Until I joined the Hamb about a decade or so ago, I had no idea how many folks traded cars. Being a transporter, I started being asked to do trades between members quite frequently.

Here is one that sticks in my mind!

A gentleman in Georgia contracted me to do a trade transport from his place in Georgia to Las Vegas & back. The story was...He had a 2 door Cadillac (late 40's) that he needed to trade with a fellow who have a 4 door version of the same car (It was even the same color) because his wife would NOT go to the car cruises with him. The reason was his Mother-in Law could not get in the back seat of the 2 door, he needed a 4 door for the Mother-in-law to be able to get in the back seat! I am sure the guy in Las Vegas jumped at the chance to get a 2 door!

God Bless & Happy New Year

Always wanted one of these. Being a Ford guy I think I could be swayed into a boxy sedan with a full on race Hemi. Man I like these cars.

It's an unfinished project headed for 'day 2' starring roles. Has a 66 engine with factory correct tri-power and factory air. Born a Montero Red 4spd 4bbl car, no console. I guess I should be really honest and say I'm not super motivated to move it along. I actually really like this thing and need to finish it.
