  6. Here's my Xmas present (they are really expensive here in the UK) mounted up in the hinged battery cradle I made earlier. It was originally for an Optima but the Odessey is better I think. I needed to make a retainer for the smaller battery. I used polypropylene sheet and made it into a bus bar. Nice when you can make a part do two things. Just need to add a camlock webbing strap and it's done.[IMG]

Couldn't resist taking a drive. Temps were close to 70 today so I got the truck out and me and the wife went on tour. 12-25 005.jpg

Got the bed back on my heap. Gotta do a little every day or it'll never get done. Need to get rid of the Model A lights and figure out a bumper.

Ate too much, lazed around with the wife and the critters, didn't even go outside. Wondering why my neighbors like such crappy music.

  14. Mildest Christmas Day in northern Illinois in memory. Worked a while in the garage. Replaced the corrugated plastic wire looms in the engine compartment with the woven looking stuff from Painless. Looks better. Somewhat more traditional.

Encouraged by yesterday’s success, I cut out a real piece from 18 ga stainless:

    and bent it up:

Then it was time to get cleaned up, dinner with the family.

Currently debating which beer to have...

Thought about people and times of the past. My Dad's birthday was Christmas day, lost him 41 years ago and still miss him.

Picking away at the '37 Chevy truck teardown

December 26th 2019 Started striping the glued on insulation and other easy items from the cab interior. That's when I discovered or, rather re-discovered (since I had applied the insulation years ago), that the firewall kick plate, including the area of the clutch and brake pedals, was a bolt in item. The area surrounding the pedal shafts splits into two pieces. The pedals would not restrict the cab lift operation after all. Beer of the day is RJ Rockers Brewing Company's Bell Ringer Double Pale Ale. I've been punched by this brew before.

Drove 6 hrs round trip to picked up a 3spd/OD for my 61 F100 Unibody today. The 292 will be much happier now! Yesterday I was able to get the Fairlane out for a Xmas ride with my son. Quite a feat for us up in Wisconsin!!! 20191226_140336.jpg

Dug through an old garage and found some 32 parts. Windshield, original exhaust pipes (NOS), hubcaps and miscellaneous parts. Was a very good day! Late and unexpected Christmas presents for me!

Put a new air hose on the retractable air hose reel. Been putting it off for awhile and when I got busy doing it, it only took me 15 minutes. o_O

There is something to be said about procrastinating.....but Im sure its already been said!
