So I'm in search of some ribbed pipes. The only lead I have is night prowlers and they said their "coming soon". I know fenton made them back in the day, but good luck finding a nice set.Anybody know where to get a set of aftermarkets.or will this be a custom made item. Thanks
there is a thread here about a guy buying some ribbed pipes for $40. most replys were that they were made my Fenton in '59. no one has seen them for a long time. none of the main custom parts sites carry 'em. if you really want a set will be custom made unless you stumble on a private party deal. placed wanted ad here?
Thanks for the info. I guess I need to contact harpoon here on the hamb or jimmy from circle city hot rods . They used a set on a 50 Chevy they recently built .
You may want to try "Circle City Hot Rods". Jimmy White built a set for Chris Broder's '49 Chevy. In the new Rodder's Journal there is an article on Chris's car with the pipes and the article says "Circle City may start to make these pipes to sell". Who know's... It's worth a try. If not just look at the Mag. to see how COOL this '49 Chevy is.
Try these guys Cal Modified [email protected]. I had to go two two different bike web sights to get that! They make ripple pipe sections, and could probably build for you what you need. I have never used them, but riple pipes have been big lately on choppers and I think these are the guys that are supplying every body.
I remember someone selling some ribbed pipes in the classifieds, been a while, but I remember a picture of a pile of them.
Circle City has been making the "ribbed" pipe sections for motorcycles for some time, and the set they have on their Chevy we custom, but you might ask about getting some of the "sections" they have been making to do your own. We are still quite a ways out on ours.
I seen a set for sale on st.louis craigslist a couple months ago,i will check too see if there still there....
