Don't know the route you are taking but the trip across the UP of Michigan and the Mackinaw Bridge is real nice.

If you do take the northern route through the UP; make a detour to Whitefish Point/ship wreck museum and for sure check out Tahquamenon Falls. Pics went my last phone which fell into an oily waste sump...
