Rescued this last March. Now sporting a freshly warmed-up 260" flattie and enough fixin' to make it a nice driver. 1941 Merc 9- 7- 19.jpg

This one spoke to me but I didn't have the money for it. Maybe these pictures will give you some inspiration. Good luck with it and most of all have fun doing it. 70704060_700537057092841_8969332813014761472_n.jpg 70931179_700535567092990_1029032326845169664_n.jpg

    Lotsa nice saves!

Unfortunately, this has been a year of cleaning out for me. If I don't have a specific plan for that item, it's going to go. I'm overloaded on vehicles too, nothing desirable however, but reliable daily driver o/t stuff. That will be helped when a couple of my kids move out soon.

  8. Hopefully the last for me, but we still have one more weekend in 2019....

This truck was a one owner truck until 4 years ago, when the guy I got it from purchased it. He tore it completely apart down to a bare frame and then lost interest. I spent 4 hours Saturday getting it together enough to get on my trailer and then a couple hours loosely mocking it together yesterday. Time waster

After wanting one since I was a little kid, this '49 Ford. I had been watching it sit for years, as a local guy tried to flip it for $3500. When he gave up, and listed it for $500, I was there within a couple hours with the cash. I sold a '63 Corvair Coupe to keep my hoard at 3 cars. KIMG0049.jpeg

  15. I bought this ole 48 coupe for no other reason than its the same age as me and rock solid. It was stored away for many years. Had to rebuild the fuel, brake and electrical systems to get it roadworthy. I gotta stop this buying and get rid of stuff!:(

  19. Last New Years Day I found a nice 55 Chevy Del Ray and had to have it . It is a step forward for me getting something turn key and finished . Not Hamb friendly but I latched onto a 1 owner 97 BMW 740i . I never owned a luxury sedan and it was priced right . It serves well as a good cruiser road car. I sold a 70 c20 pickup and a 55 210 , both went to good car guys.

  21. I bought this 50 Plymouth in Aug not too long after selling my 41 Chevy. I believe I saved it from possible neglect.

Since this thread came back up, I had to look to see what I had saved in 2019, and tell you all what I have done with it.
The truck did get built, got started on it in July 2020 and it got road worthy in June 2021. It was driven all fall, and winter.
Then it got body work and paint in May 2022, and has been on the road ever since. The odometer from the 44,000 donor truck now shows just under 60,000 miles (I'm too lazy to go look).

How about you other guys? What have you done with your 2019 saves?

January 2019 I started my truck project by purchasing an engine and beginning the journey that will end in 6 weeks at the Portland Roadster Show. Like Frank sang "it was a very good year!"

Two key factors helped me here, retired in January 21 then Covid lockdown. Got this in Dec 20 , drove it out Dec 21 :) 3552122B-6A2F-4239-AB16-AD52B519F70F.jpeg IMG_1850.jpeg

  28. Got to this point and stalled due to a very slow engine builder. Need the actual engine to final fit the firewall and cowl area, it's that tight. Busy building other stuff in the meantime. IMG_1095.JPG 292571227_10220721954587948_2483305329180294436_n.jpg
