Got the front brakes put back together, ran the brake line between the two front hoses and tore apart the rear brakes only to realize I’m missing parts for the emergency brakes to work. Does anyone have the piece that connects the lever pulled by the cable to the front shoe? It’s missing on both sides. [IMG][IMG]

I put my radiator backing the other day and it doesn't line up to the water pumps for the lower connections, I have searched and can't find much info on these radiators. A few things of note my motor is a 1949 Mercury 8CM, I had to put 1" spacers under the front motor mounts to clear the steering box. I'm sure this is contributing to my problem but the lower radiator to water pump connection is 3" off. Any suggestions? IMG_8637.JPG

What is that on your radiator? Looks as though someone has already made offsets. Can you take it off?

I was thinking those weren’t original, I’m leaning towards taking them off. It would line up perfecting I did that.

Got the offsets removed from my radiator and put it in the truck. I had to mock up the grill shell and hood to get an idea what she’s going to look like. IMG_8902.jpg

It’s been a long time since I’ve worked on this truck but in the couple weeks I decided to dig into the coolant leak I found last October when I filled up the cooling system for the first time. It turned out to be a bad head gasket so I figured I might as well put these Offy heads on when I replaced the gasket. I fired it up the other day, it’s close to being a driver now.

Well it’s basically together. There are still lots of things to do but it has functioning lights, has the hood and grille shell on and has a floor. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Such a nice year of truck . The right spot between art deco, hot rod and custom. Classy

Since my last update I’ve pretty much driven this every day it hasn’t rained or snow. This month I drove it in our local Christmas parade and left the tree and wreath for everyone to enjoy. Merry Christmas!! [IMG][IMG][IMG]
