Thank youp for all the responses!

Really picked up this Procon pump for a 'placeholder'.

Will clean it up.Probably disassemble it and put it back together.

Then put it in the den or shop as a reminder.

To look into supercharging, turbo supercharging, fuel injection and 'special fuels' in about a year

from now. Can't forget Offenhauser or Novi 4 cam type heads!

That is when things should be in full swing for us race car shop wise.

Our real deal is design.Chassis and body.

Like to dabble in the engine prototypes to keep alert.

    Happy holidays!

    Back to the pump.

The Series 4 and 6 are rated higher .

    330 and 660 GPH.

If somebody got a Procon to work in the past.

They MIGHT have reworked the shaft and bearings or body to handle higher RPM's.

As the guy said about seals. They might have reworked those too.

Other option is guy from the past might have built a totally new one and just said

'It is a Procon TYPE pump'.

Could have said Rotary Vane pump but oh well!

    Happy holidays!

    Thanks Rich

    Means a competition hot rod.

Saw that in a 50's article.

Same magazine had build article for a competition coupe chassis.

Said they were 'disguised rail jobs' or dragsters.

    Happy holidays!

These are cars I built and raced. They are competition cars. And they are coupes But not Competition Coupes. They are altered coupes. Different class.

It is 'eliminator chassis' in magazine.

I don't even have the magazine yet.

    It is on the way.

Don't know where article is mentioning 'Competition Hot Rod'.

    Will change it anyhow.

    Happy holidays!
