I have to admit that I am General Motors and more specifically, Chevrolet, challenged. I have seen recurring references to Chevy AD trucks and after finding comments about a group on here called "AD Truckers", I went looking for them just so I could find out exactly what a Chevy AD truck was. Last post I saw was in 2011 and nothing I read gave me an answer. Somebody please tell me what AD trucks are and how they got that designation.
AD stands for Advanced Design, it’s the designation that Chevrolet gave to the trucks they built from 1947-1/2 to 1954-1/2. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

My thanks to all who replied. My only experiences with Chevrolet trucks were my Dad's 1941 which I learned to drive in and a OT 1974 which I hated. I was supposed to get the 41 but my Dad sold it to a friend for $50 because the fellow said he needed a truck. Wish I had it now. The 74 doesn't deserve any discussion.
