Doesn’t have to be fancy, but many of the postings have shown a lot of ingenuity. Gives me new ideas. Thanks. I built a poor-man’s spray booth in part of my garage with 2 x 4s, plastic, a few box fans, and some household air filters. It’s worked out ok so far.

Free style two tone taping along hand drawn line. Roller job. True value rust x paint. post-3-13585350190219.jpg post-3-13585352658056.jpg post-3-13585350190219.jpg post-3-13585352658056.jpg post-3-13585352658056.jpg

I don't know if anyone has mentioned or tried this, but it's a way to make narrow masking tape for taping around tight curves. Lay the tape along a yardstick, letting it overhang the width you need. (You can cut it as narrow as 1/8")
Turn the yardstick tapeside down and slice along the edge with a razor blade.

  21. have a very picky customer who wanted some head lights painted. I stole an idea from this thread and used a couple plant cages to hold up the lights. I taped them down and wrapped them in paper. IMG_9907.JPG IMG_9909.JPG

  22. for the head light rings I traced out the inside lip on the paper, then put three equally spaced 3" screws just to the inside of the line to hold the rings off the surface. IMG_9910.JPG

  26. always good to use a matching shade sealer under the paint. tinting primer/sealers is a great way to achieve the color your looking for.
this is what I ran into today. WTF? IMG_9916.JPG IMG_9917.JPG
