I took this picture at Bonneville in 2011. Resized_DSCN0301_26385681433109(1).jpeg
I am so infatuated, that I took this picture and got a tattoo on my left arm.
Recently I purchased a 3D printer and ran across something called a lithophane. So I printed a lithophane of this hot rod.

I know that I will probably will never have the money to buy it. But, everytime I look at it, my heart goes pitter patter.
To me, this hot rod is perfect.
    What are you infatuated with?

I'm not sure I'd call it infatuated but there is nothing I like better than a "40 Ford 2 dr sedan. Been in love with them since I was about 10 years old and at almost 67 it hasn't changed. Black and flames is the best. This pic came here from hamb. 40sedanhamb12.jpg

Now , any '55 Chevy model works .:) Always my favorite was a 2 door, but wagons are near the top and even a four door wagon would be acceptable to my mind's eye.:D

Yeah. It’s been in the HAMB classifieds for about 3 months now. I have compiled about a half dozen legitimate reasons not to go after it, balanced against the fact that I really dig it. Someone needs to buy this thing before spring....

  7. Got a buddy with a 57 Pontiac 2 door sedan. I love this car! His is a metallic maroon with a straight axle up front, no front bumper and a killer 421/4 speed. The paint, chrome and stainless is all perfect. Has cragars on all 4...bigs and littles with a black naugahyde tuck and roll interior. He only takes it out once every few years. The original engine from his car is now in my coupe. Sorry I don't have a photo of his car.

  10. I would say you got it bad, it's even your avatar.

Just use it as a vision of what you want your project to be, I'm sure you could build a car similar with a lot less money than trying to buy that car if it were for sale. HRP

  11. I liked this car the first time I saw it, I was in love with it when I got a chance to drive the car,it;s no longer around but I am still haunted & infatuated with this car. HRP

I waited 15 years for this one to come out of the barn and into my garage.
    It is a beauty.

Be careful of infatuations... until you ride in it first! Hopefully, you won't have to cut your arm off later.

This deuce roadster is just one of many that has held my attention over the years, the original owner is actually from the Longview Washington area which is just up the interstate from where I live.

Sometimes it's a particular view of a car that infatuates me, this is one of them.

Great looking car sitting there on a fresh shoveled off driveway in a snow covered landscape.
    Perfect pic for winter time.

Don't know if this counts, but, I really liked the Black #3. It was definitely a hotrod of sorts.

Yeah that happened to me too. I saw on Craigslist. A 1929 Ford that I couldn't stop looking at. It was up for a while and I kept going back to look at it. I tried to come up with reasons not to buy it too. But instead I sold everything I could and now it's in my avatar and that's why I'm here now. I don't regret it at all. Good luck convincing yourself not to buy it. It is pretty cool.

As you may know, the orange Mark Westrick roadster I posted prior was built in large part by Bill Vinther.
