I like the stock grilles best, but for something different thats pretty clean. I think it would look better if you painted the horizontal cross bars black so they dont show as much. The way they are now is distracting from the flowing vertical lines.

I thought the same, although I think that the one shown is not finished, but either way, individual owners could do what they want.
Camera angle and close up photo shot probably doesn’t help.

Yeah I noticed it after I posted it. I had two pics of it and I chose the same one by accident.

So I made a second one. I think this how I would sell them. Because there are so many differences from insert to insert and it's going to require minor adjustments to get it to fit. For example on mine I had to put a slight bow to the bar to follow the contour and had to remove the original center strip. I made the tabs bigger and and it would be something that you could bend and trim accordingly to get the best possible fit. Either it's going to need some sort of glue or some tack welds to hold it in place. Tell me what you think. 6. I did not realize the center bar was totally round. I thought it more u shaped and went over the center bar then just a couple of small tabs would be needed to wrap around the existing center bar. I have a friend that made a couple by using interior chrome/ stainless strips from a 50's car and jb-welded them in place over the center bar. That seems to be easier then using a round stock piece. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the input. It was the first thing that came to mind and I just rolled with it. And I hand some round stock laying around.

The round bar matches very well with the profile of exterior band on your grill.

I didn't realize that it was round. Great idea, but after doing some measuring I don't have the room for it. To keep the feet of my SoCal headlight bar on the frame and not hang over ,I had to mount it pretty close to the grille.:( Bill

Great idea! I'll have to roll out of the barn for some pics.

I'm going to wait until I get some feedback on the ones I have sold. I might end up making multiple stamping dies for the end pieces with a different sized radius in the corners. And maybe a bar with a peak in it.

And I think that is what makes it look so good, matching the original, so it looks like it came from the factory that way.

I knew that would show it off better. - Just perfect !
Really does ‘finish’ the grille and the whole front view.

It was a worst case scenario as far as making it fit the 75 dollar oddball brand X Chinese insert. It took me about an hour to get it to fit properly with a lot of tweaking.

I was wondering if you are still making these? They look great. I'd be interested in one.
    Thanks, Steve
