May have a shot at some very nice 1932 Ford 18inch wheels. Good bad or indifferent? Most folks running 16s or others?

Most guys run 1935 Ford 16" wires and those are my personal favorite but Kirby Kennedy run 18's out back and it looks awesome!!!

33-34 17"s and 32 18"s were popular on kit cars like Bugattis and others because the tires were the cheapest to be bought in the antique market due to slow sales.

Oooh, so they are, I guess they must be 19's then, 'cause they aren't 21's.

Have the rears been widened? If so, how much? Did they add to the inside or outside?

I love the look, been planing on the same combo for mine.

I just bought out an old timers stash of old Ford parts, and got a couple of '32 18's & some later 16's. I had put them in a stack of stuff to sell, but after seeing that model A coupe that Jeffrey posted, I think I might have to hold on to them...Thanks for the post!!! It had never occurred to me to mix the 2 sizes together...

What tires are you running front and back? I have been searching, but no real matched sets being found in the 5.00/7.00 range of sizes.

  26. I have these new tires that are stored and waiting . Four 6.00 x 18 Michelin Engelbert Competition and two 7.00 x 18 Michelin. I think John might have worn his out in the last 9.5 years :D

I set up the deuce lakester project I started with 18's widened 2 inches to the inside by Danny at Bruce's Rod Shop on the rear running 700/18 Excelsior's and 16 inch 35 wires with 500/16 Excelsior's on the front. Looks bitchin.
