There's a decent looking '59 El Camino under construction in the background.

 

Its a 59 2 dr htp. possibly it is a 348 tri power car and they have a solid more door for parts? the Cold War Motor's Guys have built a 60 fury Htp from a rusty hulk and a solid 4 door. It was almost a big of challenge as the 59 in the picture is. and the Cold War Guys are now doing final primer work and getting ready for paint.

 

The CWM crazy Canuks are amazing. The guy is so casual about repairing that monster. "I'm going to fab this headlight eyebrow" Some cardboard, tap, tap, tap BAM done. Just amazing work to watch.

 

I've seen the ads of "Saw one like it at (pick famous car auction) go for $30k. I'll make my money off it now, you fix it up then sell it and make your money back." And it sounds like they are serious with that.

I have often contemplated as to why someone would let a nice old car sit and rotttt and not do anything with it? And I think possibly the answer would be that they would be jealous if somebody actually done something with it and then they had to look at it!!!!!!
They will never repair it, restore it, or drive it again! And they won't give anybody else an opportunity to do so either. I think it's kind of selfish!
I'm about 99% sure that these vehicles will sit and rot until the guy that owns them dies and then the family will probably have them hauled off for scrap. I talked to him about selling some of them and he said he's not interested in selling them and he has titles for them. He didn't have any problem with me looking at them or taking pictures of them but they will never go anywhere except to a scrapyard after he dies. SAD!

 

I never give someone not selling their stuff any free rent in my head. There is plenty of viable projects that are for sale . Why worry about some hoarders collection? Get on Facebook Marketplace and you will see plenty that are for sale. The Setting and Rotting estate Auction las month that I started a Thread about. Is a prime example of the let it set and rot and never do anything with it. That TOOTH posted about.. However they did eventually sell.

What the hell is wrong with people? These 2 coupes we posted are worth, what, at least $20-30k each, probably more? And to just leave them sit outside to rust. Madness.
