Nacifan, simply google 1926 Ford taillight and then look under Accessory taillight for 1926 Model T Ford Forum and there are some pictures of the accessory C.M.Hall taillight. They are unbelievably hard to find and I was just happy to acquire the one that was on ebay. I have been following my thread all the way along here and have not tried to interfere and just let everyone voice their opinion.

  2. At most auction sales there isn't any sales taxes. Usually you are only charged sales tax if its new merchandice being sold at auction.

I have been watching some parts for my 235 Chevy on Ebay but since they now collect sales tax I will grab them from the local old junkyard, the parts I was looking at were cleaned up and its now getting colder and some lazyness was starting to settle in so saturday I am going even if there is a foot of snow on the ground. Support the locals first.

  4. The state of Arkansas allows the vendor to keep a percentage of the collection fee for their trouble.

Taxes are government driven. Big companies like Ebay or Amazon are forced to collect tax for the government. These companies have to register with our government, and others, and submit tax returns to each of them..
Nobody likes tax, but as the world wide web has taken commerce far and wide at the touch of a keyboard, it was inevitable that the tax men would eventually catch up.
We can't hide, so we must be aware that tax can and will be added to many of our purchases.

  6. Well every government funded agency you mention are parasitic. They produce nothing. We have a local volunteer fire dept it cost the taxpayers nothing. The thing is if whatever you do for money does not involve using the natural resources of the planet to Make Build Or Grow some tangible thing that adds to the GNP or GDP if your not a vital link in that chain of production then your a parasite. Harsh as it sounds. That's a hard fact. Another Hard Fact too many Taking Parasites and too few Making Producers is never long term sustainable. Some famous person stated the problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other folks money to Robb and redistribute. And that has already happened the tax revenues have not generated enough money to fund many local state and the Federal goverments. So they make up the shortfall by borrowing . In the case of the federal gov its now over 23 trillion. All government spending is a Tax on some producer. The borrowed money is a tax on some future producer. Yes government employees do pay taxes. However their pay must first be robbed from some present or future producer. So whatever taxes they pay are like getting a dollar for free and paying a 10 cent handling fee. And there is no bigger lie than the So called Fair Share bullshit. Remember this no poor person ever provided a good job & workplace for anyone. Wealthy folks are not any more evil or greedy than the rest of the population.

I'm guessing it's the area you live in. I live in a small town, population maybe 15K, there's no way volunteer fire department could keep up, no way without a police force that the community would be safe. Without taxpayer money, how would the sewers be made?..Kept clean? Roads repaved, where do you think the money comes for that stuff?

You may not "live in town", but you do drive into one I assume for supplies every now and then, do you think the asphalt road you drive to and from town on was installed and is maintained by a high pockets family? Or maybe it was tax dollars at work?

Anyways, not trying to argue, especially if you feel taxes are not worthwhile to a community.

    I've beer to drink.

  9. You missed my point. The thing is the few producers who are left can no longer afford the finiancial burden of funding the parasites who work for the government. One example Central Park in New York was costing the city Millions of dollars to upkeep. They contracted to Privatize the park. Now the City receives revenue from what was once a burden. I like toll roads and toll bridges. I often rather than cross the Mississippi river at Cario ill take the Toll Ferry just south of Sikeston Mo. Ok another example . I used to cross the Walbash River on Hwy 141 and had to stop at the toll booth on the Indiana side and pay a worker a toll. Then they closed that toll booth and gave me a transponder that recorded every time I crossed the bridge. They saved millions on wages and heat and electricity for the toll booth. And that tickled me. Yes I think those who use government goods and services should pay for the service themselves. We have gone from a nation of working self reliant individuals to Helpless sheep who demand to be enabled by robbing the productive. And eventually it will collapse. and then there will not be any of those government funded services . Its already happening in some places. In Detroit there are places where the LEO,s will not go. Its already SHTF WROL there. The point I trying to make is most of Us we must live within our means and when our income shrinks we tighten our belts. The tax and spend folks they just add a new tax to attempt to generate more revenue. Remember this too many parasites eventually weaken and kill even the strongest host.

  10. Im my town the sewers are maintained by the water works company. Its a private company that provides the water and sewer and those who use that service pay a monthly fee based on usage. No tax revenue needed. And there are private contractors who you can pay to collect your garbage they take the trash to a certified private landfill where its sorted and much of it recycled. again no tax payer funding necessary. I take care of my very own deep well and pump and my own private septic system. And have a out house too boot. Our electric Coop has no tax payer funding. And when necessary I and many others can generate our own electricity.

Fellas - somehow a discussion on sales tax inevitably turns to politics.
