Hi, so i'm ready to do my 8ba finally, but i have a concern... 8ba with a Scat rotating assembly balanced 3-5/16x4.25" with JE pistons, i already have 1115 edelbrock heads that i had show polished that has the 65cc chamber, i will be relieving the block so i know that will drop compression. I read the chart that Ryan posted about all this BUT here is what threw me off.... The sales guy said compression would be 10:1 with the 74cc heads! i found that hard to believe. I asked a few questions to see if he was a "sales guy" or a knowledgeable rep, my guess sales rep so i find myself here to see if anyone has been through this or purchased a kit from scat similar ... thanks

Detonation destroys flatheads and 10:1 compression sounds like trouble. Careful.

Let's start again. You said you have a 3.125" bore. I don't believe this is what you meant, as it is 1/16" less than a stock 8BA. I don't think anyone would spend the extra money for a 1/2" stroker and then sleeve the bore undersize. What is the actual bore you are using?
