Its a low decibel rumble you don't just feel but hear, like the whiskey shits or a gambler but more threatening and sustained. Almost begging for an emotional response from the listener.

So which is your pick? You’re the one that owns and will have to drive it and look at it every day!

  6. I'm torn between #1 and #4, but some ideas by others are good and I need to see what changes they can make, the whole reason for this post was to get opinions and new ideas. :D

If you can afford it, just go ahead and buy another set of wheels and tires, and swap them as you feel like it. I’d do the slots or Torque Thrusts and what’s on it now, two different looks in about an hours time.

Maybe you should bagging the rear.
Pumped up with mags when you want the hotrod look.
Lowered down with skirts and whitewalls when you want the custom look.

  9. I've considered that, good to know someone else has considered it too, that may be my best option since I like both styles. Thanks , BigO

I like the third one, in green. I like the taildragger look and I like skirts, but I think I'd like it just as much if it just had the tires and caps and didn't have skirts or a nose-up stance.

I had a '47 Olds coupe with old paint like yours, except it was green, that was lowered somewhat and had caps and wide whites and I liked it. The car wasn't in the greatest shape but I liked the look it had.

Someone did some Photoshoppery on it the way I wanted it to look (very similar to your skirted version) but I sold the car before it ever got that far. Would have been pretty though. I never even considered a mag wheel street rod look. Credit to whoever did the Photoshop work, I don't remember who it was.

Never saw those cars as hot rods, although I am aware of some of more famous ones. I would go with a custom taildragger for sure.

A friend has a 48 Ford coupe he's had forever and it's black. Beautiful car but that's why I like the colors...blue, green, maroon. You don't see those every day.
    I guess it's like a red corvette.

  30. If i do the Hot Rod version I don't mind it being black, it's like it owns that color, but if I go custom it needs a color, I like the blue but it seems every time I get to the painting part I wind up with a shade of blue, don't know why....
