I scratched my head awhile with this stuck head. Spinning the motor on the starter didn't budge it, so I came up with this simple tool and it worked a treat.
The lifting hooks come with a nifty threaded adapter for the spark plug holes. Insert that in the spark plug hole. Find a bolt that threads in and make up this 5" long support out of L-iron.
Pulls the head right up. 20191213_092652.jpeg

Looks simple ,thanks.lift with a cherry picker? As soon as I find a 5 or6-1 head I'll be swapping mine out.

some folks just put some pieces of rope down the spark plug holes and then turn it over
