Event Coverage Car show pic from 68-who else has it???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Dec 11, 2019.

  1. I posted this a while ago and someone replied by posting a pic of the same car in the same building, but just a slightly different angle. I printed it out but can't find it. Who has it? Here's mine from 1968 in New York i took as a kid. THX

  5. Looks like it says, "PSYCHEDELIC DREAM" or at least, "PSYCHEDELIC" something.

Looks like it had stock suspension for the 1967 season, the magazine pics were taken then. The straight axle was the change for the 68 season. Those were the days when you had to change something ever season to stay on the show tour.

Then find the add that appeared in the back of Hot Rod in the classified section for sale.

Funny how I keep stuff. In my pile of old car magazines, I found the cover from the one you want. No clue what happened to the rest of it. Nifty ad for Baldwin Chevrolet/Motion Performance on the back.
Groucho, if you want it, I'll mail it to you. Just shoot me a PM.

  23. I think I remember that ad for the Vette. Do you know what issue it was in? I have most issues from that era. THX

  24. THANKS and much appreciated!!! But, now that the subject has come up again I'd really like to read that article. I wonder if that car still lives(?) This place is a wealth of info!

  25. Looks like a nickname by the magazine since there's no lettering (name) on the car yet in that pic.
