@Rootie Kazoootie Have you even seen "stinger/expansion" exhaust system on any other sprint car?

Two stroke outboard motors were pretty common in early midgets and a little later they became very popular in the smaller Three Quarter midget ranks.

Its Huntington Beach California, See the Golden Bear in the background. Its Pacific Coast Hwy, just South of Main St, we've gone through this before.

  8. Damnit, I could sure use parts from that 1957 Pontiac for my basket case Safari. And the Y block drivetrain from the Merc for V8 conversion on my 56 Ford panel truck.

1 more car I promise, Rex Winter

did anyone else noticed that what i think is a trailer behind the T right to the center of the pic?
for the picture seems to be from the mid 20s the trailer is way ahead its time, streamlined, looks cool.
or did my eyes trick me?

Neil Thompson and his record holding 53 Studebaker Comp Coupe. At one time he held every comp coupe record from AA to E. His also was one of the first to use a fire suit. He’s wearing it in the photo. The GMC panel also had a 392 Chrysler for power. He was a great friend and I miss him everyday.
