Thanks. It means a lot. I’ve truly been blessed with the results. And I’ve got a great family behind me. I’m glad to be able to pursue one of my dreams at my age. All the hard work has paid off!

Started putting some color down. Should have the rest sprayed in a week or two. Then we’re changing how the rear springs and shocks mount and some other small driveline changes, larger rear axle studs, drilling the front axle, changing rear gear ratio, and building new headers. We have a lot to go but we still have plenty of time before the season opener. Also have some heads on the way for the new clevor engine.

I was pitted next to these guys at Glory Days, good people indeed! They even invited us to their fish fry! Ranchero is looking good!

Very nice car! What front axle are you using? It's great to see someone young start and finish a project, your future is very bright!

Thanks! It’s a 58 f-100 axle. It was already the right width and the I beam axle just had that cool look. I’m using early ford round back spindles on it as they were easier to get brakes for and also steering arms.

Finished spraying the body. All that’s left to do is the hood and bed panels.

Looks really good . What color is that ? Don't worry, my car won't be that color.
I have a few gallons of school bus yellow I need to use up.

It was a custom mixed color by Tamco. It’s a small family owned company but there paint and clear is really good quality stuff. I showed them a picture of the old Mondello fiat and asked if they could match it. This is what they came up with.

Here’s a few updates. Shown is the process of drilling the I beam. Also had to install 5/8 wheel studs in the rear as the 1/2 inch ones were all bent. So the wheels had to be drilled too. We recently rolled the car out into the sunlight and the base was thin in a few spots so its going back in to be repainted.

Must be nice to have a machine shop at your disposal. I had to use a hole saw to drill my axle.
I like the color. It is going to be nice .

Yes it comes in handy in many cases. Used the large welding tables to build the frame and ladder bars square. Bansaw to cut the tubing for headers. Sheet metal bender and brake to build the floors and firewall. And any oddball bracket we can cut out in a Bridgeport. My dad designed the frame and ladder bars all up on solid works. And they have a cnc plasma cutter we used to cut out several different brackets. I’m lucky to have it.

This coming weekend we’re hauling the car up to work to get the headers done. And more assembling. We also moved the rear spring mounts to gain more travel on the shocks.
