    I'm good Nads.
    Where you been hiding??
Built an Ed Roth inspired rod while you were away.
We must come and visit one day, give you a hand with that Mk2.

Great choice on the colors. They really complement each other. And that Consol(?) is just a great looking little car. The scallops make it even better.

My neighbor in Bellflower who built k boats, built one of those for a customer. I thought it was a neat motor. It was a neat street. Blown boats across the street Jen Allen warming up the praying mantis up and down past my house.

It still looks solid for a NY car, not many left over here now due to our climate , like you these cars seemed huge when I was a kid
I always liked Zephyrs/Zodiacs MK 1 -2 and 3s, and Vauxhall Cresta`s E type - PA -PB And PC , I have owned all of these and still have a PB DSC07536.JPG

Great choice with the Edsel grill shell. The rest of the build is out of the box great as well, but that grill shell is KILLER.

Cool project! Those little hemis sound great!

  13. This is not small...this is a tiny engine 2.5 liters 155 CID.
My 215 Oldsmobile V8 is huge compared to this one.
I hate to say it....but this engine is cute....
    Nice build...

Maybe shout the old girl a new oil pump and go easy on the revs . These engines have very narrow rod bearings and lack the thrashability factor .Triumph stags had a similar design fault .

I love where this is going however I'd include a frame K- member to minimise any torsional twisting and upgrade that brake pedal rod to something more substantial than what's there now.

Interesting project especially the engine it was designed by Edward Turner same guy that designed the Triumph 650 twin motorcycle. The pistons in the baby hemi are exactly the same as the Triumph 650 Bonneville. Like what you've done with the Edsel grille looking forward to seeing the finished car.

I talked to Gene Winfield about the paint when he was down here for a class a few months ago and showed him the pics. The comparison to The Reactor is uncanny but that was not my intention or even a thought in my mind at the time I painted it. It’s just how it worked out. I found these S & M oval lights that are from the 30s, I think. They aren’t era correct for this 60s style build but I think they look pretty cool. I put LED bulbs in them and they are bright. You can’t see the modern innards 759175FC-691C-4236-AE55-4F9F991B7DD5.jpeg 742EAEC3-7A80-455D-BA7C-CA48F23BE793.jpeg C2E55321-8EB6-4880-B7AE-125B58574921.jpeg

    Nads,

I think the headlights work with the overall theme of the car. They may not be " '60's correct" but they look "right". I love the paint - it really pops! I also love the chassis detail with the painted backing plates, shocks, and differential cover.

  26. Resized_20190718_220149.jpeg I always thought the Edsel grille(horse collar) would look good on a Hot Rod, I was right.
    Looks good.

Hi Nads, good to see you posting. I dig the hell out of that little car, you did a hell of a job. Could I talk you into doubling the diameter of the brake push rod? It is a bit dinky for the length and the force required to actuate the master cylinder.

Do you still hang around with the ElMosqito guy? Was his name Mike?

    See ya, -Abone.

He’s moved to San Diego, the guy wasn’t really a car guy, he just had one as a cool accessory. We haven’t talked in years.

Also, your advice is taken on the push rod, I can easily make it larger in diameter.
