I think it would still make a neat old car if it were just put back together, 4 door or not with its patina etc.

Probably yard art once I get it home. Although I'll be keeping my eye out for cheap doors and another rough shell...its so trashed and picked over that I kind of want to at least bring the body back to life.

  8. Doesn't look too bad in this photo but my old 33 chevy 3 window laid on it's side in a ditch for long enough to rot the passenger side sail panel, door and cowl clear through. 33chev.jpg

This one broke my heart. Rusted in half. Someone had put a floor shift three speed in it at some point. Saved some parts off it and then the crusher. :(

  19. This 56 1/2 ton spent it entire working life since new at the Fertilizer plant. Came as a cab with a flat bed. notice the rounded running boards that just reach to the back of the cab. It had a 272 and granny 4 speed when I got it. 11 inch flywheel. Hasn't really rusted much more in the 30+ 56 Fert truck 004.JPG 56 Fert truck 005.JPG 56 Fert truck 006.JPG 56 Fert truck 007.JPG 56 Fert truck 008.JPG 56 Fert truck 009.JPG 56 Fert truck 010.JPG 56 Fert truck 011.JPG 56 Fert truck 012.JPG 56 Fert truck 013.JPG years ive owned it. Today when taking the pictures I noticed it has electric wipers. Several years ago. I sold a HAMB member the front hubs drums and backing plates . still has the front axle and steering sector and dash. one fender might be usable? We took the 56 rear end and swapped the no spin 427 gears from a 64 international slant 4 pickup in the housing. and it went under a 63 unicab ford truck. sold flywheel and bellhousing. still have the trans. hauled the Y block for scrap. still have the heads intake and carb,

I was doing some body work on my 64' Polara today , started getting a little frustrated with how slow it's going, and then I came across this thread. Things aren't that bad around here after all .
