Hi All, during a recent trip to LA, I couldn't believe my luck when I scored these two Russetta timing tags from El-Mirage, one dated 4/23/50 where the driver Sam Comstock achieved 126.05mph in the A-Sedan class, and the other dated 6/23/51 where he achieved 120.40 in the same A-Sedan class...very respectable speeds! I've been searching for any info on Sam Comstock, such as what club he was affiliated with, what car he was running and what motor he had...must have been a pretty hot set up I should think for a sedan! I've been studying and pics I can find hoping to spot his car in the back ground, number 121A in '50 and number 4 in '51.. but no luck so far. So if anyone has any info on Sam and his car, I would love to hear it.
