I used one on a SBF, it lowered temps around 15 degrees if I remember correctly. I bought one for my 64 Riv, but it's not on the road yet. Very nice build quality.

  3. Larry, I used their add on plate on the water pump that I used with the zips riser, I believe they work. HRP

I am using one on my 390 FE and am satisfied with its performance.

I have used them on 4 of my last 5 builds. I just had marginal temp drops with about 3 of them....nothing near the 15 degree drop they advertise.

I’m going to go with the thermostat and better fan first.
I’m not sure the flow of my stock water pump which is brand new is inadequate.

The biggest problem I had to begin with is the wimpy little fan I first installed.

After I got the new one today it’s obviously going to pull a lot more air than the flat thin flex fan.

The new steel fan has substantially better blade design.

I also have a Zips hi rise and a Flowkooler on my A Ford and it has a 383 stroker engine and a 160 degree thermostat and it runs 165 on the highway and 180 around town with a steel fan.

I've used a few of them on Chevy's over the years with good success. I would buy another.

I've had one in use on a sbc for approaching 20 years with no issues. It was bought as a replacement for a reverse rotation pump on a cut out engine I was using but had never seen run, so I have no first hand knowledge of the claimed temperature reducing properties, but can vouch for reliability :).

I am using one on the 472 Cadillac in my 57' Chev. Pickup(avatar). I am running a six blade steel fan(like your example) and an aluminum radiator. I have a 180 degree thermostat and I am having issues with the engine running too cool. Note: the steel fans pulls a lot of air but it is loud.

  11. ... small block Ford, thumbs up. Small block Chevrolet thumbs up. I put them on anything needing replacement. Why not ?

I have a Flowcooler pump and Brassworks radiator in my '37. Has never overheated in 100 degree temps with a/c on.
