I wasn't sure how to spell "boo" so I figured a picture would do just fine.

Been driving the coupe a lot, all local spots.
Here's a couple of shots taken at a local car show,

We rescued a little dog [a bit old and hard of hearing/sounds like myself]
    and we named him "Isky."
I let Ed Iskenderian know about it, he got a kick out of it.
The wife and I took him to our last Friday Night Gathering for the year at Domino's Pizza in Concord,
he rode in the hot rod with no problems. I did some 1st to 3rd gear shifting part of the time.
Wasn't a bit fazed with the engine noise, he's a hot rod dog.
Giving him a better half of his life; spoiling him rotten, 72 pick up 007.JPG 72 pick up 014.JPG Last Friday Night Gathering 2019 025.JPG Last Friday Night Gathering 2019 007.JPG

Yeah, I've had it for maybe 20 years now.
It was a father/son project that I had to "de-kid."
Here's a shot of it with the coupe motor in the bed while the car was up at Choke's [fabricator].
    Still driving it, fun pickup.

Glad ya like it Denny, it's my favorite body design for Chevrolet pickups.
I got it pretty cheap but it had a small diameter chain steering wheel so you can imagine
what the rest of the truck looked like, it's come a long ways.
I'm happy with it now; thanks Denny,
    Mick

I hope this isn't a repeat, my friend Bill came by with his 55 Gasser and he had just installed
fuel injection on it. Said the wiring was tough but likes the way it runs now.
He Bill 55 injection visit 005.JPG Bill 55 injection visit 012.JPG Bill 55 injection visit 011.JPG had tunnel ram on it previously, I think the new FI [and distributor] look great!

My friend Ken with that blue steel 40 Willys coupe is installing this same injection on his car this winter [only for a 496 BBC]. Ken's Willys 010.JPG

Thanks loudbang, he'd probably dig your Torino as well.
He's an "Olds nut" and a "Ford nut."
We were at a large car show in Pleasant Hill, Ca. and he was parked next to us.
Really liked the coupe and asked a million questions.
    Glad he did, Mick

My friend's son ran into Ron Nunes yesterday.
He was in the store getting his phone fixed, then gave the "kid" a cool t-shirt.
Ron is one of our local drag racing heroes, has a shop in Livermore, Ca.
He said he hasn't raced in over a year because of his fight with leukemia, hate hearing this!

First shot: me checking out his steel Willys coupe at Sears Point decades ago.
Second shot: the wife talking with him, also at Sears Point.
Third shot: his Vette race car.

I know, I know, two glass cars. Still history in the making, had to be mentioned.
    Get better Ron!

We took our dog Isky for his first ride in the coupe yesterday, went over to some friend's house
    in Concord; he did fine.
The noise and vibrations didn't bother him.
Now we can take him everywhere.
Trying to drive the car as much as I can WHILE I can,

That DOES make him a hot dog.
Content too, not much of a guard dog but speaking of guard dogs [and Impala convertibles]
three cars were stolen at the Goodguys show in Pleasanton, Ca. this past weekend
    so be careful guys.
Kill switch, fuel shut off, battery shut off, stay with your car, you know the routine.
    Scary out there,
    Mick

No way am I implying that this is the late Doug Cook's [Cookie's] old car,
    just a coincidence.
This is my handwriting [printing] while taking notes over the phone with the previous owner,
the late Mike Mahoney in 1995.
My car was never a drag race car, merely a cut up POPS roundy-round dirt racer.
I paid around $4000 for it,

My wife has always wanted a "Cruiser" so she bought this [fiberglass] 34 Saturday.
Typical 350,T350 trans but has a narrowed Ford 9" rear end.
Lots of extras that our other cars don't have like AC, heat, turn signals, stereo,
electric windows, tilt steering wheel, adjustable seats, etc.
We drove it home from Woodside, Ca. about 60 miles, never got above 160 degrees, 50 lbs oil pressure, no problems.
We stopped at Eddie Papas in Pleasanton for lunch on the way home.
Now we can go on longer burger runs!
It came with a 1934 pink slip, whew!
So....my apologies, not Willys related but here's a couple of shots with a Willys in it.
Put it up on ramps to check it out but so many guys stopped by I ended up talking all day, 34 on ramps 027.JPG 34 on ramps 019.JPG

Get some whipped cream and copy it, your family will think you're nuts like mine does.
