I think this is the backside of Nads Hotrod (update...it is not)...looks like a weather beaten Warrier...again due to the photo issue encountered some time ago and Photosucket's continuing assault on images where it seems a watermark isn't enough it is a challenge to find pics...we lost a lot of great Threads Our membership worked hard to put forward...miraculously some have survived...some...:(

Stogy your post on the page 128 with this car. 31 Coupe.jpg

    Here's some more pics.

About 10 years ago I bought that body in LA from a HAMB classified (sorry cant recall the seller) and had it shipped to Australia and with the help of the HAMB was able to find the pics above and learn a little of its history. I am VERY sure it was the same car so stoked to see it reappear in this thread.

After sitting on it for a while I had Flathead Ben help me get a start on it building a frame for it.

    31 coupe oustide.jpg

It was then onsold to Richie from Perth who reworked the frame (I had it way too low) and he did an awesome job of building a beautiful car. Much better than I could of.

So I guess in a way its full circle for that car!

@panhead_pete thanks for that Huge Dot connection...Sorry it isn't yours anymore...I'm happy to see it still around and it has retained a fair bit of it's vintage past...

I hope you have a vintage ride to keep the Hotrod Vibe Alive...Life has a way of Guiding us and we generally have to go with the flow...

This Hotrod wasn't that different but one of the reasons I did post it is it really captures a very popular look and stance today...and I call these vintage rides influencers...

Now there's a pretty unique thing that made this a stand out and that's the Visor area rework and the Scavenger pipes and I think thats an Olds engine it had which is a nice Hotrod touch as well...

   ...Vintage Hoodlums being...Hoodlums

    23 very cool seconds...

Might be a straight 8 in the second Hotrod...;)

Anybody hazard a guess on the second Hotrod...the first one is an A Cabriolet I believe...

There is mention of the Road Knights in the info...

Priceless Footage and the Smile says it all...

Not sure...but The Ole Snorty Bulldog would certainly be worthy of it...the heck with a trip to the moon I'd rather have a couple of hours behind the wheel of that Beast...

To Find a Vintage Survivor Circa 196?...the day that those Hotrod Magazine photos showed up I have been in awe with the Hotrods in attendance.

That reminds me of the race my brother and my cousin had in the late 50s in Texas. My brother in his '39 Ford coupe and my cousin in his '40 Olds coupe. My other cousin and I watched our big brothers from the barn roof. The land was so flat we could see almost the whole course. It was around the section of land our farm was on, 4 one mile straight aways and 4 ninety degree corners all in the dirt. The ford was more agile and quicker but the Olds straight high came on later in the straights. My brother won mostly because of his insanity but also because the finish line was mid mile infront of our house where they started. The Oldswas closing fast.
Here is a picture of my cousin with the Olds more than decade before the race. I was his granddad's here. The Ford next door was my granddad's. It had moved to California before my brother could get his hands on it.

  30. Looks like a combination of air cleaner and Packard bumper in the background.
