Technical 1956 Nailhead Question

Have anyone ever used exhaust manifold gasket on a 322 V-8 .. I know it says no gasket is to be used. I had it plained at a Machine Shop but it still hav a slight leak...any tips,,,Thanks

 

I've used Permatex Ultra copper on Sanderson headers that use no gaskets.

 

the exhaust shop down the street from me uses high temp sealer on everything, even a light coat on gaskets and donuts. I started doing it also and I find I never have a leak and when I have had to take the stuff back apart years later it comes apart cleanly.
