  1. Leather. Burlwood. Class defined. That's a beautiful trunk.

    Carpet matching interior. IMG_2946.jpg

  3. My trunk is in the same style as the interior. The bags hide battery and fire extinguisher. Up to the left there is a hole for checking the brake fluid level. IMG_0077.JPG

Wow nice neat electronics, but it reminds me of the inside of an old pinball machine we used to have!
[IMG] Not a criticism, just amazing!

I did up the trunk of my 56 Mercury to try and hide the ugly LPG tank and air-ride - a bit rough around the edges but it was fun to try and do it all myself

Enjoyed it so much I did the same for my coupe - but this time I just cut the panels and got 'Rocket Kustom Auto Trim' to cover them to match my interior - love it!

Only one with a trunk, It's very traditional, covered in dust from the 1/2 mile dirt driveway. Better than the miles of dirt road I used to drive to get to the same place.

Raptor UPol and painted with dove grey enamel on the current project. Im thinking I should go back and put in some tabs to allow panels to be mounted at a later date.

The 40 thru 48 Continentals were fully carpeted when new. The sides were glued as well as metal twist nails (!) pounded through the wheel wells. 41 Cadillac was also carpeted on the sides with something similar to square weave as found in German cars but much thinner, and as I recall the floor was different. Been a while since I did one. But since we're talkin junk in the trunk...;)

Can't believe we went 3 pages and nobody breached it! Please note that in keeping with the best of HAMB decorum I chose a shot with a 59 Caddy sporting the most iconic of "custom tails". Sorry, meant tail lights. Seriously. No, I really did, what were you thinking? Have a nice day...

Mike, bumping this, hoping for a pic. I love spartan, functional trunks.

Not near the finish stage, yet.

After a fuel tank and battery box, I am planning to "finish" the trunk by painting the bulkhead and rear panel cover the same color as the body and putting in upholstered side panels to match the interior.

The floor will probably have a vinyl mat like a 60s era car... that or a piece that's diamond stitched to match to other panels. Something just laid in that I can take out, easily.

  17. Just so I’ve got this right, you’re telling me there’s a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado in the photo correct?

Yep, had to have a finished trunk! I love it, but it sure makes it tough to pack it full without worry of damaging anything! 20190518_121607.jpg 20180530_172511.jpg 20180530_172448.jpg

Ha, that's about right! Lost some space by having it upholstered! Hauled five wheels and tires in it without upholstery and had space to spare still!
