First chop was trying to use some commons sense hopefully some one can use some ideas. being a one man band as always, the cuts off ,once welded helped me to get everything back in place and strengthen the seam

jumping to the firewall. was going to recess it , then reverse it --but that was to EZ lol decided to give a 32 look to it

 

played around with it til i came up with the right combo--

Hi Sky pilot , have you seen any sites where they just reversed the model A firewall on a 30/31? It gives you about 3 inches of setback. It looked like a good way to recess the firewall. How much did you finally chop the top?
