  2. Must be nice! It’s already cold and salt covered here. No more vette driving this year for me.

  4. And miss out on all the wonderful snow and ice? I work, literally, at the southern tip of Lake Michigan within sight of the water. The building has openings you can pass a house through, I’m not giving up on the cold howling winds and lake effect snow!

Scotty, you get my vote of admiration for your determination and resilience. You are unquestionably made of sterner stuff than I. Twenty-one consecutive winters of snow, ice, slick roads, and treacherous paths sent me in search of warmer weather almost sixty years ago. Everyone has a spot in the world that is ideal for them. I found mine, hope you are in yours! Rock on!!!

When you are ready to thaw next year you should load the Vette up and bring it to Bowling Green next June and hang out with us.

  9. I may have dramatized my “love” of the weather here. Family and a good job with retirement in sight is what keeps me here.

  10. Bowling Green? Never heard of it. Sounds hot and humid!

  11. I must apologize, I’ve made too many stupid posts without corvette pictures. This pic screams corvette and hot rod!

I like this one ....nice simple flowing body lines, not a bunch of junk in the trunk, but has enough of the right parts to get your attention and make you believe that when put to the test it would be one wild and crazy ride...

Sebring 1964. Two of the three original Grand Sport Corvettes that came to Dallas courtesy of John Mecom Jr. The third was being repaired after a crash at Green Valley Raceway road course.

The two cars are Delmo Johnson/Dave Morgan on the left and Jim Hall/Roger Penske in Jim Hall's white car.

  19. Local legend Howard Kaye built this wild street driven vette in the early 70s. The car was powered by a blown 396 with hilborn mechanical injection and zoomies. The daisy wheels are magnesium. The car was featured in many magazines back in its day. A guy bought the body and restored the car to original. Howard still has all the non factory parts. They are being repurposed for another crazy vette build. While somewhat mild by today's standards this car was outrageous on the streets in the 70s. 20191121_152829.jpg 20191121_153000.jpg 20191121_153132.jpg 20191121_152948.jpg 20191121_152941.jpg 20191121_152829.jpg 20191121_153000.jpg 20191121_153132.jpg 20191121_152948.jpg 20191121_152941.jpg 20191121_152835.jpg 20191121_152842.jpg

Is it my imagination or has that cove line somehow been enhanced especially at the wheel opening. Also if there was ever a wheel/tire match mismatch, I think they achieved it.

I don't mind stock wheels in back with mags up front, but mismatched mags just don't hit the button.
