So my post gets deleted for asking a question involving the use of a Mustang II steering rack?

But someone can ruin Fords all day long with junkyard Chevy motors and that's allowed? LMFAO. How backwards ass can you get?

So much for helping people out........

  5. Why is it so hard for you new guys to actually read the rules of this website? This ain't a website about pony cars or muscle cars. Read the freakin' rules!

My 55 F100 is a hot rod. Who cares that it has later model steering than that from the dark ages.

  13. The rules have worked well since 1995, if you don't like the way this site works *I am sure there is a mustang site our there somewhere. HRP

Please note that we don't focus on things such as modern fuel injected motors, big-inch wheels, frame clips, after market independent suspensions, etc... at all on the H.A.M.B.. As such, posts that stray away from the "traditional inspired" will be deleted.

    Rules:
    1. No profanity in subject lines.

    2. No political/religious/racial posts at all. No exceptions.

    3. No Porn.

    4. We cover traditional '65 and older American cars only. All other threads will be deleted. We don't cover rat rods, muscle cars, mustang's, or VWs.

    5. No commercial posts.

Let me start by saying I've been around here a long time (lurking mostly, lol) and love this place for what it is. Ryan and his moderators have done a great job keeping it real.
    BUT...
Sometimes the double standard does bother me.
You can have and use under your car just what this fellow asked about but don't talk about it.
You can make it look trad but what you can't see is whatever.
I get it. My cars are period correct as best I can make them, both seen and unseen, and where not I deal with it.
Sorry for the rant but the hypocrisy gets to me sometimes.
(I know. Some of you will tell me to hit the road if I don't like it. I don't. But I love the HAMB)

yeah, I deleted your posts (twice) because of off topic mustang 2 IFS. That is off topic here along with most other "modern" things. It doesn't surprise me that you don't know the rules based on your mustang avatar pic. You can find the rules here:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/
cleverly placed in the intro section (where every new member should start)

And we are very helpful here. It is just the fact that this is a traditional hot rod site and not a street rod site. (yes there is a difference)

I am not one of the guys who are inviting you to leave, just the opposite for me. I think you should hang around and try and learn a few things. You have a set of ideas that you feel are correct and maybe by learning a few things you would come to see that. Nothing at all wrong with installing a Chevy engine in a Ford, that's Hot Rodding and what its about. Is it the best choice? Maybe it is and maybe its not, but that is always to be determined afterwards. Hell there is a Camaro running around somewhere with a Flathead Ford in it. As to your Mustang II front end and the dark ages stock suspension ( according to you ) of a F100 with its straight axle. Nothing at all wrong with a straight axle and they can be made to ride every bit as good as any M II crap. If you don't stick around you will never learn that. So hang out and learn what the HAMB is about, try doing that without belly aching about the way the place is run.

  20. That MII aftermarket quasi universal “built for your car” kit stuff ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Lots of design flaws in them and as is quite apparent the manufacturer left you hanging on a very simple steering rack.

  21. It is kind of funny how he got “ass backwards” backwards though.

  22. .........I appreciate what you are saying and if he wants to stick around and show some respect for the site, I'm all for it. Unfortunately, I think he's already made up his mind that this place isn't what he is looking for.

mustangs are not allowed because they are commonly associated with muscle cars and this is not a muscle car site. There are countless other sites for them

  25. I think I will post my flathead Ford engine questions over on one of the Corvette web sites and then bitch about it when nobody will indulge me....:p

  26. All you gotta do is let mustangs in and the place will be overcome by that horse Shit. Those countless other sites will send members here to load the board down.
Bad enough we got mirror muff and dorks with elbows.

  27. IFS,,, well if only to stop folks from ruining their rides. Can’t help them poor Rodders if we can’t talk about it.
