Well, there was a time of who wins was important. Those days are looooong gone. Everyone makes their bed differently.
Now, it's the heart and sole comfort zone of being personally satisfied.
Zero concern of who looks or what is said. (well, that's not altogether true...if someone says it looks like shit... curiosity will beg as to why... constructively).
Today, is very relaxed and casual while not trying to make a Rolex, but enjoying a Timex.....

Some progress.....been slow....the mind wants to do lots more but the ol bod rears up and says " hold on now".

Had to shorten front spreader tube 5/8" ???, made upgraded and installed 1/2" front panhard rod, shortened rear spreader for bob tail, and for lights and tag and topper....

Back to wrapping the Falcoooon up... IMG_20191005_151319258~2.jpeg IMG_20191006_111042990.jpeg IMG_20190312_153115020.jpeg

This may have already been covered somewere but I cant recall ever seeing coilovers with a solid axle before. Has this been done or are you a pioneer?

Beautiful builds - both of them! A buddy of mine built this road race Falcon for a customer. Extremely similar vibe! unnamed-9.jpg

Very kool. Ours a purpose road racer. Although is titled. Maybe occasional terrorizing of pedestrians....

I love the Lil John Buttera vibe this build has. Quality work, understated presentation. I even love the yellow coilovers !

Wow...thanks...Buttera....before Coddington....yeah. An artist in hot rods. To me he was on the edge. Coddington and since way over.
Intent of this build and my last, to be a Timex, not a Rolex. Preservation. Preservation. In the end, lots of period old parts. Presentation.
Mostly ol skool except for new frame , (already boxed and ready, time saver), coil overs, (wanting to be low and the cast Ardun oil pan drove the front coil overs), slushomatic (required by age, wife, Ritus and all joints not biodegradable), and rocker rear coil overs (to hide, clean view, and just to be different).
Yellow springs... thanks....been thrown under the truck numerous times. The final rates and color will be ????
    Stay tuned....

I believe this is the same - road race purpose built, yet street legal. Nothing wrong with some terrorizing of citizens!

I really like this. Lil John was far beyond Boyd. Not to short change either one. I visited with Lil John several times at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa he was with Andy Bondio team, and their midget was always cutting edge, you could see Lil influence in the car.
I believe Trebil paid you the ultimate complement on your build. Frank

That is going to be one CLEAN looking rear suspension looking from the back when the body is back on. Going to look like the diff is just floating in thin air. :)

Loudbang..(l love that)...thanks for the observe. The no muss no fuss clean view was the intention. Not "traditional", but simple and kool.

Holly cow Martha, I must have fallen on the sword of "traditional". Being a staunch preservationist with a smidge of comfort and safety must be the key to Davy's locker....no
