  2. It all depends on how much it would cost to reproduce the exact chassis with the exact components.

Price is probably based on money he has already spent on it.
Pretty tough to recoup that much money.
    Wish seller luck.

The value of the end result would be a major factor in what is being put up for sale. That is a lot of money that still needs a lot.

I would venture he has way more than asking price in it. Make him an offer, you never know.

    Nice, but you'll own a $60K Model A when you're done

how much does a flathead cost to get all done up? a quick search shows a TCI chassis is 10 g's with the rear end and axle... seems expensive to me

Way too pricey for me but it is at least nice. Pricey is a little better when it's nice. :D

Just looked at their site. $12,000 for the chassis w/rear end and front axle. Add in all the other stuff and yeah, he's just trying to get his investment back.

A lot of pretty stuff there, probably a bit more into it than asking. If the engine is as good as it looks, it's not a terrible deal.

  21. It’s worth exactly what ever offer he takes
    I’m out.

On a side note....... why does it have rear wheels on the front?
(Sarcastic comment about the front wheel width and offset)

That cars cost more than your first house is a sign of getting old.

It's nice, but there a dozen really nice A's for not much more than that in Hemming's. Complete cars. I wonder how many $12K Model A chassis TCI sells? I love Model As much more than Deuces, but the money's not there. Dollars to donuts , this boy's gonna lose on this investment.

Maybe he just figured out he's short a title?

I think he made the mistake of pricing it in the range of some very nice COMPLETE cars. Why in the hell would anyone, as nice as that is, spend that much money on an incomplete car when for the same money they could be down the road without any of the hassle of finishing that? ! It is beautiful and I can appreciate the work he put into it.

You'd be hard pressed to build that setup for the price, let alone "have it built for you". Is it a steal? Not to us home builders.
The match made in heaven/buyer is a guy that has a decent A body and is about to order a full chassis (TCI or comparable) and have an engine builder build him a hot Flathead, which isn't cheap.
Might have 10k in that Flatty? Walker radiator & Deuce shell is another $1,000.

Title wise, there's tons of titled Hot Rods rolling around with aftermarket frames.

I spy a Sedan body in the garage. Wonder what the story is?

It beyond pricey. Its insanity. If there was a body on that chassis can you imagine how high the price would be.

It is a bit high for me also . It seems prices on everything seem a bit pricey to me also . I’m not going to bash the guy , it’s a nice looking chassis . I have seen friends buy pure junk , for more dollars , that I have had to fix . I have been offered crazy money for things I know can be bought cheaper . I wish him good luck , and hope he finds a buyer . Many of us have paid big $$$ for something we want because other people have over inflated the values .
