going to be starting on a new project for a friend pretty soon and he needs some inspiration, the only pics i've been able to find are of Jake's car and the one that Tardel built, i know there's got to be more out there so lets see them. thanks, justin
I thought the Tardell car was channeled? The only other well known four doors that come to mind are the copper Deuce from a year or two ago and the GMC powered Deuce featured in HOP UP. Carps (HAMB name) from Austrailia owns a blue 33-34 that I think is fenderless.
Kevin i think you're right about the tardel car, lets change it to fenderless 33-34 fordors instead of only highboys (still probably won't be that many). channeling the car would be an option too, but it's a super nice origional body and may eventually end up getting fenders, or it might end up getting bobbed rear fenders and cut up 36 spares for the fronts either way it's going to be run fenderless for awhile first. he plans to leave the body pretty much as is with the origional checked paint, it will run a full hood as well. this is going to be used as a tow vehicle for his bonneville car so it's getting a fe ford and a c6. i'm going to be doing the frame for him over the next couple of months trying to get it as complete as possible by august since he's moving to texas after bonneville. i think i remember carps car now that you mention it, is it blue with black doors? anyways i know there's got to be a few out there, so let's see some pics. thanks, justin
Now you've opened it up to channeled cars, I can post this pic of Skip Readio's sedan at Bonneville in '98 ...
33fordguy the only fordoor i found on carnut is skip's car which simonsez just posted, neat car but a little too acid trippy for me. the other ones are bitch'n, thanks for the pics guys, keep them coming
There are some sixties shots of it on Skip's homepage if you wanna see the pre-psychedelic version ... http://community.webshots.com/album/15665981YrWpofrUhn
seymour that's jake car but what the hell if anyones got more pictures of it lets see them. that's actually pretty close to how this one will probably end up only a little lower and black. i know there's others out there as well, at least it seems like there has to be more than 5 total. so lets see them
It's my real name and my car has febnders and running boards. However, being an Aussie '33 Fordoor it is kinda unique in that the rear doors and the rear portion of roof is carried over from the '32 model year. This was done to save money on tooling costs by carrying the major pressings into the new body. Chassis with fenders and running gear etc came from Canada with the local bodies being coachbuilt here. Coachbuilt means they were full of wood.
Here are a couple more pics of the [above posted] 34 4 door I chopped and filled for John-[SwanWaco32] here on the HAMB. It has the front posts leaned back slightly with a mild chop
