OK you Hemi officiandos, WTF is this block number I just read on a V8? VT544-1755 Yup, that is right off the pad on the front of the block where numbers ought to be. What the heck is this thing, some kind of goofy Canadian tractor or something?? (no offense Canadians) I see othe VT numbers on a couple of lists, but nothing with a VT544. Help please.
Pfft..... our Canadian tractors had nothing to do with this HEMI...... damn racist!! I’m triggered!!! Where’s my safe place because of words !!
Don't worry. According to Ryan, the actual founder and owner of this site, intros (introductions) are NOT required. However, that doesn't stop the self-appointed "intro police" from pouncing on members who haven't posted a (not required) introduction.
Hmmm, that looks like a book we should have here. Can I get a copy somewhere? And thanks for the answer clarification.
A search here reveals nobody by that name, where can we find info about the book, or at least contact info for him?
Funny man. I searched Google for Leo Lundquist and came up with no one resembling a hemi guy. If he was as famous as that I would have expected him to come up. A search for “Leo Lundquist, hemi” gives a result for Hot Heads, among others, but no direct link. It was then that I realized the last name was misspelled in the post by @George.
We post intros here. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forums/new-to-the-h-a-m-b-introduce-yourself-here.18/ it is a way of you telling us who you are and what you are about. I quite reading them years ago. There was a time that you posted an intro and everyone ripped you a new one, it was a rite of passage. Not so much anymore. Now as a way of saying hello that is the rare hemi out of an edsel alley ostrich, not many made and even less of them had a hemi but hello anyway.
No harm, no foul George. I didn’t mean to suggest you did anything wrong, I was only explaining to a 76 year old man who should know better that I did in fact use the Internet, both on the HAMB and then in a Google search for a mention of that hemi reference book. 30,000 comedians out of work and some are still compelled to try lame attempts at humor.
"Don't matter what kind...........its a HEMI and everybody wants one. We aughta do a post...............IF somebody gave you a built HEMI would you put it in your car? Doubt there would be many........"uhhh, no thankee'z"!! 6sally6
