Yup! The Radir slicks are probably the most expensive piecrust slicks going but they are the best. Not recaps and they last. I can't speak highly enough of them. Only the front wheels are original, rare 15x4" American Racing magnesium LeMans

 

Any wheel that ignites before It melts is cool in my book.

Whats new with the Coupe Dean?

 

Since the original builder ran a body shop as well as other things, I don't think that he would of been running around in a rusty old coupe no matter how fast it went. Take the time and money and do the body over now that you have the drivetrain working. But so far, so good, it is looking better every time you work on it.

 

Didn’t drive it as much this year but it’s currently running great with a fresh mill I installed last fall after the 327 I grenaded in June 2018 . It would be really cool to see it painted again but I like it the way it is for now. I don’t ever want to over-restore it but maybe we’ll paint it someday.

 

Car looks great, bit of Connecticut racing history. Paint it if you want to, but resist any urge to over restore things. If a weld is safe but not pretty leave it, it raced and won with details like that. Merry Christmas! Bob

 

Man... I wonder what ever happened to the headers from when it was the Missile.

 

Brent, after the Rake was retired the headers and some other engine parts were sold to a local racer who ran them on an Anglia around 1965 or so, the owner of that car actually came into our shop but had no info regarding what happened to the parts after. Wish I could find them! Some day I'll make a duplicate set.

 

I really dig this car. Do you have any detailed pictures on the rear suspension? I caught a few online, but I'd like to see how the rear end connects to the frame.
