Over the years Local Rodder Alby Heynes has built a plethora of different rides out of his modest shop. While many were done for clients, he built more than a fair share for himself. Thinking outside the square has led to some interesting variants. Having more or less retired now, this 47 Ford Deluxe was one of his last builds. Having started life as a Sedan he carefully crafted it into this Deluxe Station Wagon.
That thing is slicker than a minnow's dick!! My hat is off to you Mr. Heynes, you have a great talent
Holy-Mac-a-rall ! THAT Baby is off the charts .So many talented guys an gals out there . Yea ,its not a roadster or a coupe..but who cares !!! The workmanship and the time involved.I love it !. HATS OFF to Mr Heynes
Hilarious. I'm going to have to remember this line. PS: This car is truly cool, truly unique in the BEST sense of the word.
unless had a '47 woody next to it be very hard for anyone to know that it is not stock when just looking from outside
Nice, lot of talent and work. VL console as well. Mine has a VN one that I'm just changing out to a B&M shifter.
I hate to crap on someone else's build, especially because I really like the work the guy did on this and I try not to shit on personal choices, but that last pic left a bad taste in my mouth. At the very least if a guy could swap out that plastic floor shifter thing for just a boot around the shifter and a different steering wheel (if not the whole column) this car would be miles ahead. The rest of the interior is quite nice, I like the dash and seats and door panels.
As far as the wheel and column go, it’s not my cup of tea, a banjo would look better but then again it’s not my ride either. He just finished building a 29 Coupe that has a similar steering wheel so he is happy enough with them.
