    Now that you mention it the car paint etc. is too perfect too. It never looked that good off the showroom floor when new.

    1952-54. Those parking lights at the front look weird and don't show up on other pictures I have found.

    When the Mark II's came out, I was 12 and had been following all the magazine stories. etc. My dad got an invitation for 2 to the introduction for recent Lincoln buyers at the Beverly Hilton and he took me. They had about 6 cars in different colors. A few weeks later, we were picking up his Lincoln from service and I wandered into the showroom. The car there had his name on the dash plaque and for a few minutes I was very excited. Turned out the dealer had to submit customer names to get a car for the showroom. He was not prepared t pay the $12,000 price for one which was about double the price of a regular Lincoln.

    Who wouldn’t like to pull that into their garage? I suspect that was mostly stage patina, applied with a rattle can. And... I just noticed, but check out the no-state license plate.
