Not to the exact day, it was the 11th of Sept so a couple of months off. It's interesting that where you live it reads November 9th cause that's my birthday.
Hopefully my dad is looking down and saying
" well at least he didn't run the business in to the damn ground" That would be his backwards way of telling me "Good job son".

Back from the local Sunday flea market, got some things to photograph and flip. Next is some garage cleanup time, feed the wood stove, maybe some '22 Bob Tail time later on. Bob

Used the good weather we had here in Lower Austria to test the changes made to the front suspension (Shelby drop, Opentracker camber kit, shortened coils and black Bilsteins from Mike Maier) - after having done the alignment using basic tools and lots of f&%$ing about with the adjustment shims:mad:

All in all the car now turns into corners a LOT better and stays planted without any body roll. Need to improve straight line slack but I think I know what the issue is.

In between I had some proper Austrian food:)

Spent the afternoon getting the bumper off the left front tire. Yeah I am sore as hell but just sitting feels just as bad as doing something. Would rather have spent the time working on the parts I bought for the Galaxie.

  9. Pretty day today 65 degrees.Went to Williford Ar and loaded up a outdoor wood furnace on my 20 ft tilt top Trailer. I bought the stove at a Auction a couple of weeks ago for $25. Also unloaded the load of firewood from my 66 GMC that I went and got yesterday. wood stove 001.JPG wood stove 002.JPG wood stove 004.JPG

I took what will most likely be the final cruise of the season. The roads are dry but there appeared to be a lot of salt residue at intersections.

I was also intrigued to see that it needed repairs 6 years after Dodge produced it, yet presumably went 65 years after your father repaired it........

Never take the time to print any pics of the cars I’ve taken so decided to go big! 24x30 print and then I made the frame. Used the original nails from the old wood off the coupe to nail the metal corner pieces. Think she looks good even if I do say so myself!

  15. Yesterday I went to Jan-Cen's open house, local long time engine builders and drag racers, Mike was 2018 Pro Mod champs and came in 3rd this year with the new car. They specialize in building their own design CNC blowers used in all kinds of motorsports from boats to tractor pulling to drag cars, great time catching up with everyone there.
Then I came home and started moving drywall, wood and general shit to try and get the Henry J in the enclosed section of the garage. I ran out of steam and got pretty tired, this disease kicks my ass physically, so today I continued that task, still not finished but I did make a good dent in it and burned a lot of wood from the old walls and such.
Here's my buddy Tom (fuel altered owner/driver) goofing around posing with some of the blowers at the open house and an inside look of one of their injector hats. 20191109_134112.jpg 20191109_134123.jpg

  17. I tried to take advantage of what may be the last nice day this year to rake some leaves and get some work done on an OT project car. The sooner it gets done, the sooner I can put a Model T in its place!

Worked on my '37 rebuild. Put the dissembled tie rod end back together on the steering arm then cleaned, masked and painted it, along with the steering arm and brake bracket. Sunday, when the paint was dry, I put the new shock absorber on. This five minute job turned into a two-Budweiser degree of difficulty task. The shock bushings were tight on the pivots and wouldn't go any farther than three-quarters of the way on. I rethought things when I hit my thumb with a twelve pound sledge. The great mechanic in the sky gave me a mulligan and it was a glancing blow that barely broke the skin. I tried several things that didn't work, that I'd rather not discuss, when I found a socket that fit over the protruding portion of the bushing and seated against the metal portion of the shock eye. That did the trick. I was able to pound on the socket and seat both ends of the shock. Some fiddling with the new stainless steel washers and hex nuts and I was done.

Nov. 11 is Remembrance Day here. Up at 6:30 to do physio exercises. Wife got up at 7:30 and made us fried eggs and toast for breakfast, then she drove me downtown so I could take photos of the parade and both of us went to the Remembrance Day service at the Legion after. We had one veteran of WWII at the service - recently turned 100, but still gets around, though in a wheel chair most of the time. We got 8 about inches of snow this past week, but the town managed to get the roads mostly plowed for the parade. Remembrance Day Parade 8.JPG

Drove the T-Bucket in our county's Veteran's Day Parade. Lots of school kids lined the route. They laughed and giggled when I blew the Aoogah horn. A great day to honor our veterans. parade pic.jpg
