Hot Rods 39 willys coupe

Hi, would anyone have exterior pictures of a 39 willys coupe, especially the doors and decklid .( on the decklid , between the license lamp and the handle there are 3 holes I am not sure about and the outer holes aren't equidistant from the center one.) Also are there any manuals or books one can recommend for a 39 and 40 coupe? thanks

 

The 3 holes are for the license plate bracket

 

My bad. I was thinking above the light. Lack of sleep is making me numb.

 

My guess would be for a willys overland script like the top ones in this pic

 

Those hole where added by some one, like MEgasser said the license plate bracket is above the light and there is nothing else on any Willys besides the handle.

SOHC 427. I can't accurately see what that says where I am talking about in your pic.It isn't clear...is it an emblem like Luke has shown?

 

I have never seen anything besides the trunk handle/lock...license plate light, and license plate bracket.
Mine has all that, plus I added a license plate holder with a 3rd brake light. The pictured script and WILLYS, were on the hoods from '39-'40 g-willys

 

Honestly, I don't kmow, as that isn't my Car, it's my Friends Aaron's. My 39 lid is bare, and the 3 holes are filled.....

 

The 3 holes are for a 1940 only decklid after what I've saw with chasing these cars 35 years.1940 was the only one to have willys script on decklid.

This isn't accurate. The 1940 Willys decklid did actually have the Willys script emblem mounted in between the trunk handle and the license plate light assembly. This Willys decklid emblem is only seen on the 1940 model year only. You can still see the 83 year old outline of the Willys letters on my '40 Willys decklid.
