Just wanted to share some pictures of my thunderbird I’ve been working on. It’s a mild kustom. Just shaved the trim, slapped on some ‘57 Plymouth caps, and added some fur to the interior. I will be lowering it after paint, which will be at the end of the month when I return home from the Hotrod hill climb.

The body work was shoddy and too wavy for a black paint job, nothing on the car was taken off before paint, and it was an old enamel job. Plus I never cared for black cars personally.
... and it’s faux fur, so no dead animals here, just fake ones.

  4. Love square Birds. I did this '59 back in '63.

I love it, really digging the custom grill

  6. Many length's of 1/2 inch electrical conduit gave their lives before that grill was deemed suitable for chroming. The motor was one of Ak Miller's 390's. Once a hot rodder, always a hot rodder. :D

They are “custom cruiser “ tires. Mine are just rollers, they’re over 10 years old . I’m not sure if they’re still on the market

Looks good, not sure about the fur.

  10. Yes, fur went in, and out, in the 60's. Never was a fan.

Did you at least weld the trim holes before applying the bondo over paint?

Yes, I do body work and paint for a living. Welded the holes, filler, slick sand, and high build primer
