This looks similar to my T build. Great direction.
Here's a thought on the gearbox. You could use a 1932 4 banger gearbox behind the A motor and swap out the gears for 1940-48 gears with an F1 shifter tower.

  3. Wait, what? You reluctantly sold the first take, and now also sold take 2? When' you gonna learn, DON'T SELL STUFF! ;-)

I need to do this as well as I’m building a model a powered 25 roadster gow. I have a firm idea but if your idea is better than mine I will steal your idea!

  11. The Scroungers Car Club here in NZ are hosting their Hot Rod Blow Out car show on March 29th so that’s the goal to get the car done for. Tonight I kicked up the rear of the frame. Next up is some boxing plates in that area...

Your nicely welded z is very nice looking! I am going with a very old method of 1/4” steel plate and bolts. It worked back then and will work today!

I do see a good use and direction for either old and poorly restored model t fords or old project cars that don’t make sense to restore these days. Nothing cooler than a well built t early hotrod. Definitely need more and a touring would be so cool!! Go for it looks like a nice car to start!!

  20. While the burns were healing up - to beat the boredom and with the help of a few people I started to piece my Model T roadster together for @thescroungers Hot Rod Blowout. Well that got postponed yesterday like everything in the world right now. Exciting times as I think we woulda made it too. Pressure is off now....

The above pics show some of the work on it over the past few weeks. The black and white pic is as it looks now and ready for me to continue steel framing the body.

  24. Just noticed, instead of moving the body backwards, how much did you reces the firewall and lengthen the body? Is it to keep the original T hood/bonnet?

  26. Ok - I didn’t want to shorten the torque tube on the Model A running gear and I needed the engine to clear the radiator so I recessed the firewall 4 inches I think from memory.

Then I learnt that I had a short body - Pre 1922ish I believe so I extended the body 4 inches.

I’ve been going for a post Multi Aldrich but pre Isky look

It’s taken a few false starts but I’m pretty happy with how this one is going

I certainly know of that fella...I have shared some pretty cool vintage shots he has shared...and he may have a pretty cool tracknose roadster if I'm not mistaken...You've met some cool people...

I hope to get some barn time soon, so far lock down has kept me a bit busier than normal here in the Highlands of Scotland1

  30. Keeping in with the Model A to Model T theme I extended the T dash to include a Model A instrument panel
