Customs Let's here it FOUR the MoreDoors?!?!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by That_53_Guy, Oct 30, 2019.

  1. Ok heres pictures of some 4 doors that I have in my hoard. Had them for decades and there has been Zero interest in buyers or even body parts. They and several non hamb friendly 4 doors more doors 060.JPG more doors 061.JPG more doors 062.JPG more doors 063.JPG more doors 064.JPG will very soon be stripped of their drive trains and select parts and hauled to the scrapper. Or if scrap is too cheep I have a deep ravine I will cram them in with the dozer. The Fairlanes I will also save the body parts that will fit my 64 Fairlane Htps.

  2. I had a 51 sedan delivery. The doors on it from the factory where the exact same as 4 door front doors.

I bought this car while I was living in Az.
It was all original with 27,900 mi. and was in the same family since new. I've owned her for about 8 years and the longer I keep her the better I like her.
I was never a fan of more doors but like I said the longer she's around the better I like her.
I have a 32 roadster I drive when I want to be accepted.....like it matters!!

  5. My mom had a 59 gal 4 door. The crusomatic went out. I stole the 300 HP 352 engine and 9 inch rear end to use in my 56 ford Htp. put my boat anchor 292 and fordomatic in the 59 and cut the hood release cable. also installed the blew up 56 rear end in that car. It was still setting in the same spot from 1964 until 6 years ago when the executor of my parents estate sold everything for scrap.

Man, my first car was a cherry '64 Fairlane 500, 4dr. Wimbledon white with red interior, 260 with a ford-o-matic. Had options too, like backup lights and seat belts. I was the second owner. Bought it from an old lady that bought it new from Ott Motors in Martinsburg WV.

Had a big chunk of bondo right above the headlight trim on the left front fender. The old lady said she hit a firetruck. :D Should have never sold it. The last time I saw it was like 1994 or 5, setting on a trailer at Spring Carlisle for sale, and at the time I didn't have the cash to get it back.

I'd actually consider giving up a kidney or something to get that car back, but I'm sure it's well gone.

  23. I happen to have a white 64 with a red interior in the hoard. and it was a 260 automatic setting & rotting 021.JPG setting & rotting 022.JPG car. its a pretty solid car. I was intending on cutting off the rear part of the quarters to repair the rust on one of my HTPs. Do you know the vin of your old car. That Fairlane is still setting on the T apparatus (trailer) I used to haul it home.

  25. Oh man, that is so freakin' cool and brings back a butt ton of memories. No, I don't remember the vin. Sure wish I did.

For me, that particular car has always been "the one that got away". I've been kicking my own ass over selling it for the last 27 years... holy shit, it's been 27 years. When did I get this old?

  26. The next time Im over at our other place I will look at the front fender. And take a few pictures. If you took parts from the blue 4 door the white one could be fixed. I know ive had that car for over 20 years.

My 'Mordoor' is a '47 Ford Fordor sedan, remarkably straight black rust-free California car!
It was a gift from a lifelong bud. I've collected some skirts, an original spotlight (to fill the w/s post hole where one was) and a 454 BBC to fill the 'hood hole'...
Wife wants an 'authentic' mild Custom like in the '50s, but some smooth, reliable H.P.

I think I had some stuff in trunk so it’s sagging a bit. I like a four door, plenty room for the dog and taking passengers for a ride...when the ol’lady and I go to the drive in and act like we’re teenagers again....plenty of room for that too!!....trouble is people keep knocking on the window asking about the car!!!....Mark F5F4A8A4-F369-411A-9780-D68DF595623B.jpeg
