    Great backstory there, George.

Gasser does that have a Custom Running Board fitted to the Bobbed Capped Fenders?
The fender treatment is very reminisent of The Golden Nugget and GoldBrick...

Your Story is evolving in a very cool way...thanks for sharing it...;)

Yes,Stogy, It did have boards custom made to fit the bobbed fenders..The brackets are still on the car but the boards are no longer with it. I have made plans to meet with Rays wife to see if any of the parts are still around for the car in the garage. Maybe find the boards and windshield?

If your going to run boards perhaps a stylized floating board might be something you want to consider...It seems the boards in the picture were almost afterthoughts...I like it without...It would be interesting to know if the final vision was going to be board-less as the Nugget and Brick were?

All Stogy's nattering aside I really hope more pics surface...Blue Black with the orangy trim...love it!!

I was thinking about recreating the original boards but the lack of boards is a cool look to! I believe Ray planned on putting the boards back on because the brackets remain AND there’s green overspray on the frame where the boards would sit.

Great find! Love seeing the "forgotten" rods and customs come to light again.
