How about di-electric grease, I've done it for years. Seems like a win-win.

Up to 1800F. They make some nickle based stuff good to 2400F. Just like a glue stick.

HRP, thanks for the memories! My grandfather, who never had a TV, saw this commercial on our TV and I guessed it caught his eye. He would say... wonder what would happen if I used TWO dabs..... then laugh his little chuckle. That was quite a statement from an otherwise very quiet man. I lost him in February 1962. Again thanks for the memory.

It is, that if you use antisneeze and don't break the plug, they don't get to sell you a new plug

  5. I think you mis-read bobss396's post, the same way I did at first. His post states that "NGK says to use" the anti-sieze paste. I think the word "never" is what threw us off-track.

In other words, don't not never use the never anti-sieze paste, ever! o_O

Your not using enough anti sieze if you don’t have it all over hands, tools and your shirt. I think the op broke the plugs by putting to much side pressure on the socket ( I have done it)

I only use anti-sieze on plugs that go in aluminium heads to prevent galling of the threads. I've also found that if you remove the rubber insert from the plug socket, you don't break anymore spark plugs.

Another one who uses it on everything. The anti seize goes on before the threads go in.

Add a few drops of oil when it gets crusty and it starts the process all over again . A proven fact 2 table spoons will completely cover a battleship bow to stern , port to starboard , and every squids hat brim in between .

I have put it on all spark plugs for about 50 years. Every repair manual I have read says to NEVER use it. I also have used it on every battery terminal I have had apart for 50 years. Stops corrosion. It usually winds up on your glasses and zipper, but not at the same time. As said above if it starts to dry out in the bottle mix in a few drops of oil.
