  2. I prefer them, they used to be a lot cheaper to buy over a 2-door and make great sleepers. I had a 396 powered '66 Caprice that went like a rocket. I'm looking to get a more DD type of car in the spring, probably a '55-'57 Chevy or Ford and it will be a 4-door.

  10. I think four doors that share the same roof as 2doors ( silhouette) and 50’s-60’s 4 door hardtops look good.

  13. I believe that the later 4 door's from the 50's & 60's are more appealing to the younger crowd because they have been around them the majority of their lives, I would venture to say many of them got their start with a hand me down 4 door Honda or Toyota and that's all they know.

Many of us old farts believed back when we were in out teen's if you saw your friends driving a 4 door it belonged to you mother, ain't saying it's right but that's just how we saw it.

My attitude has softened up as time has passed, I like 4 door wagons even though we own a 2 door wagon, I also like the '32, '33 and '34 Ford multi-doors.

These 2 cars are now memories but I loved them both. HRP

I have a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr 4 door. In my opinion is better looking than the 2dr Sedans. 3 window Zephyr is still a dream car.

I do appreciate the 30's era suicide door cars, but for me, the 50's is where it's at. BTW, your Ranch Wagon is incredible. Love the color!

  25. They are the red-headed bastard step children of the automotive world. I like the ease of piling people in to go to a cruise night, throw groceries and parts into the back seat easier. A nice '56 Chevy with a 6 and an automatic may be a lot of fun, I see a bunch on our favorite auction site or when the time is right, I'll see who has what here.
