Flat towing a project is sketchy at best, flat towing is for finished projects

Here's a couple from last year. The first is leaving for The Meltdown Drags, and the second is the night racing at The Meltdown.

  7. I shipped a 60 vette to Canada in the dead of winter in a rig much like that. Buyer didn’t want my modern tires so it had 50 year old rock hard bias on original wheels and a foot of snow on the ground, driver had a large beer gut and really could fit in the car, he asked me to pull it up onto the upper level. Holy shee-it talk about a white knuckle grip!

  9. Maybe not the best way, but 8 years ago I used our Honda Odyssey to get this thing home. It was just over 300 miles.
My son (14 yrs old at the time) remembers that trip fondly.

The '54 on the way home. Looks like U-Haul is the trailer of choice for many. $60 a day is hard to beat.

Probably so. I have a nice double axle that I used more for building material than projects but it takes up a lot of space in the driveway. Too many did and never enough room.

A fellow car club member found this treasure in KY a week or so ago. 60,000 miles! Dual side mounts. IMG_4290.JPG That is his well travelled trailer.

The first photo is my roadster on the way to a show. I didn't make it, blew a tire and that blow-out tore a chunk of the tire in front of it... Only had 1 spare. The other pictures I found on the web and on the hamb. Credit to those that took these great pictures. I keep a file of what I call "Race Haulers". Just let me know if you guys want more So Cal Streamliner on cool trailer.jpg So Cal Streamliner on cool trailer.jpg IMG_9014.JPG Bonneville Wendover AAA.jpg 2-23-d.JPG 20.JPG socalspl.jpg 11-30c-1.JPG 1109rc-16_the-aj-watson-story_first-shop-in-glendale.jpg 26169167_1619974118082813_440401200737762931_n.jpg
