Marv Ringham (who built this) just flipped over in his grave.

Saw this recently purchased project over on the "Studebaker Addicts (international)" page over on Facebook. I'll see if I can send him over here to entertain us with the build! 17. @Peanut 1959 I really dig that Studebaker! Thanks for posting it.

I 'd love to come across something like that.

  18. I agree with @Sancho. Finding something like this would be a fun project! All the hard custom work is done, the rest is just restoration type stuff like dents and dings. Lower it a little more, wide whites, flippers and maybe some skirts and you're on your way!
Remember the "Modern Grecian"? A lot of people didn't like it for whatever reason too, but I don't know anybody that wouldn't take it today.
The blue Stude reminds me of the '48 Studebaker that John Sevelius built back in the 80s. At first glance I thought the blue car was his, but no chop and a front end that is quite a bit different proved it is a different car.
Here's a pic of the Sevelius Studebaker taken at a KKOA show in Michigan in 1988 courtesy of Jim (@stanlow69):

Here it is again recently. Quite a few changes since '88. Photo courtesy of @LOST ANGEL.

I know to most people these are weird sleds, but I'd roll any of them with pride! E

  20. Nice Chevy @loudbang! I think this is the first time I've seen someone use '56 Chevy taillights in a '53-'54. The '56 bumper flows well too. Looks good! E

I hear ya. I remember when that was on ebay for sale and saying that it was a Barris built car. I sent the guy a message with proof of the fact that Marv built it. In one ear and out the other.... If enough people tear the pages out of the history books no one will know who built what....

  22. It's not just the car world. The school systems all over the country are doing that with world history. They are trying to "forget" a lot of important events that our kids need to learn about.
You know the saying, "If you don't learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it.........." E

Loner2, this Pontiac is crazy cool. Talk about a sinister look, even with the
    lavender paint. But...

Those '59 Buicks you featured really grabbed me. I'm not positive but that
design, that look, might be my absolute number one favorite.

That Blue Stude reminds me of the one that was at the CCR a few years ago... IMG_4412.JPG IMG_4411.JPG

While this one is a bit more radical than the blue one, both are four doors...and both are Studebakers, both unusual candidates...
