I've been through it a couple times, it's amazing. It takes a whole day to see it all.

My Father was on the flight crew that flew the B-36 to the museum. If you look at it, you will see that a section of the fuselage was taken out so that it would fit inside. One thing that puzzles me is that they don't have a YB-49 or the YB-35, they asked for one, the Air Force had cancel the program, but the Sec of the Air Force, said no and they scrap it. The flying wing would of put us "light years" ahead of the rest of the world in aircraft design. But instead they built the B-36 a 6 engine prop plane with 4 jet engines, two on the end of each wing that was coming off the assembly line already obsolete. Oh well, it is an excellent museum.

Excellent place! We were there a couple of years ago. Like said, schedule a whole day, it’s worth it.
