Technical Need help identifying steering column

    There’s a long connector about halfway down the column, that snaps in to a bracket welded to the tube.

    The male half of this is either 3 7/8” long (1969-1976) or 4 1/4” (1977 and newer).

    Or, if you’re lucky, like me, it’s about 3” long, because somebody had the wrong parts, so they cut away everything that didn’t fit until they could jam it together and make it kinda work.

    GM also supplied columns to Jeep. But they all had the illuminated shift quadrant on top like GM vans. But, unlike vans, had key in column like GM cars.

    Mine measures 3 7/8".
    I know know where the connector is supposed to be.
    So i guess (1969-1976). Thanks for all the help.
    I will put a note in the file
